Assessment Overview:
In this assessment you will follow a ‘media-active’ leader (someone who is active in the media and on the internet with interivews, articles, podcasts, tweets, TED talks etc.). It can be anyone that speaks to leadership in their media output. You will then develop a report that analyses and critiques their leadership effectiveness in the digital age with references to the learnings in this courseYour analysis will showcase your understanding, supported by key literature on the leadership styles and theories that are most effective for the age of digital disruption.
Assessment criteria and weighting
- Synthesise evidence from a wide variety of sources to create a persuasive analysis of yourleader and their effectiveness as a leader in the digital age (10pts)
- Critically analyse leadership (via media activity) in relation to the processes and skills bestsuited to effective leadership in the age of digital disruption (10pts)
- Formulate a comprehensive, well-structured concise and convincing argument in line withacademic writing requirements (5pts)
